About Dobi

Miss Dobi joined us this past fall. Coming to us from a municipal shelter, she wasn't adoptable due to a birth defect. She has a severe deformity of her front left leg. Miss Dobi is a poster child for her breed's absolute best traits. Rat terriers are friendly, loving, cheerful and outgoing. Our little 14 pound dynamo is our resident tripod but she doesn't let that get in the way of doing what she feels or going exactly where she wants to be. She's a speedy little pup on her three good legs and keeps up with the 'big dogs' just fine. When she arrived, her transport got in late. We don't like to introduce a new dog into the SS pack at dinner time so Dobi had a sleep over with one of our team members and she was the perfect little house guest. Dobi got along great with the other dogs in the house, ate her dinner great and at bedtime curled up in a chair next to the bed where and she slept all night! It became obvious that this little girl would do well with anyone who was nice to her and that she's craving attention. She's just a sweet silly girl. When you go to pick her up, Dobi will stand on her back two feet and throw herself backwards into your arms. She prefers being held like a baby and can't get enough love. Anyone who comes to visit us is likely to find Miss Dobi sharing their chair and demanding some pets.
