About Sherman

If we had to describe this pup with one word, it would be gregarious. Sherman is the most outgoing, social, fun loving little guy in the place. He came to us last summer after a woman who was struggling paid someone to deliver her 3 dogs to their new home. The delivery person took her money and dumped her dogs in the woods. Luckily, good Samaritans found them and took them to the humane society. Sherman was thought to be a senior but it turns out that he's currently the youngest resident here. When he was first found, he was in such awful shape that they estimated him to be about 13. Now he is a healthy active boy that's loves all his maids, aka the staff and eagerly meets every one of them at the gate when they arrive. He will enthusiastically play with toys and anyone willing to participate. Meal time is especially important to him and when he is finished he wants out of his pen ASAP so he can scope out the area for crumbs. He is just so happy, funny, loving and sometimes maybe a little bit Velcro. Last night while Karen was giving eye drops to Marshall, Sherman got behind her and combed her hair with his nails! Who knew, we have our own stylist! When we're putting other dogs in their kennels, he will often get on top and comb our hair aka pet us. He is such a sweet little dude who loves to snuggle and constantly jumps on your legs asking to be held all while gazing at you full of love! Sherman is a joy to have here. Everyone loves him. Sherman really deserves to have his own home. We did confirm with his former owner that he's only 7 years old. He's a tiny ball of love who would be forever grateful to have a family and a home of his own.
