About Valor

Valor is a quintessential Pit Bull�'�|a goofy, playful, friendly powerhouse! This handsome blue is about 4-years old and weighs a good 85 pounds, giving you plenty of dog to love on. Valor enjoys Jolly balls, but his favorite things in the world are squeaky toys! Paws down, they are more important to him than treats. With such an outgoing personality, Valor would enjoy an active family, but he will likely entertain and exercise himself quite nicely in a large, securely fenced area. In January of 2024, Valor was picked up as a stray by Lowell Animal Control. He has been boarded in a large, private facility in Methuen ever since. He has been loving and very affectionate with everyone he meets, which indicates his resilience in a very challenging environment. Valor is a good boy and shows no aggression. Though he likes people, any kids in the home must be about age 10+ due to his size. He seems to be ok with other dogs, but he can only interact with them between fences. Valor has a kennel beside a female pittie and they interact calmly. He ignores dogs from afar, but if they bark at him, he'll respond in kind. Living with another dog depends on compatibility. When our go-to behavior consultant Laurel of Lulu's Legacy Dog Training spent time with Valor, he was very happy and energetic to be let out in the large yard (which he doesn't get to do often). He ran around playing with his squeaky toy for 40 minutes and was a joy to assess. Valor needs an experienced adopter who has the knowledge and skills to provide structure and consistency, in a positive format. He will also need to attend training with his person to improve basic manners and leash skills. This hefty, lively, and smiley boy is ready to jump into your car and become the center of your world!
