About Jada

Jada is drop-dead gorgeous and has the most compelling eyes. More importantly, this three-year-old has a wonderful personality. She loves people and her superpower is being sweet. Jada is homeless because her family came upon hard times. After being evicted, they surrendered her to Lowell Animal Control. She is currently in Methuen at a boarding facility where she is handled by many staff members. They all speak very highly of her! Jada was recently evaluated for behavior and temperament. She was found to be a lovely dog who is quite food motivated. She pretty quickly followed the evaluator around with nice eye contact. When her name was called, she happily returned for a treat, and remained calm with petting and handling. Jada needs an adopter who is committed to providing her with structure, consistency, as all dogs do. She is a strong girl, and while she may be ok with small kids, she would bowl them over. Older, respectful kids would most likely be fine. Other dogs in the home would have to be assessed on an individual basis. In addition, she would enjoy and do well with some positive reinforcement-based training. Time spent training with her is a great way to begin a strong bond.
