Sex: Female

BIRDIE and SQUIRREL are 15 week old, 5-6 pound female terrier mix puppies surrendered to us out of an unsafe situation LOCATION: Pensacola FL Fee is for one. If interested in adopting both the fee is $950 NEEDS: They would love a home with a playful doggy friend and a fenced yard. To meet BIRDIE and/or SQUIRREL and be considered for adoption you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION using this link- https://form.jotform.com/232395363383057 or by filling out an application on our website- aplaceofhoperescue.com These two girls are sweet and loving puppies who had been living in a very bad environment. By the time they were 11 weeks old they had already been to an emergency vet- twice! Luckily for them a family member concerned about their safety convinced the owner to give them up. After hearing all the details about the living conditions and the dangers they were in, we agreed to bring them into rescue. We honestly don't think they would have survived where they were. Birdie and Squirrel have very similar, happy puppy personalities. They are sweet, adventurous, playful, and big kissers! They love to climb into a lap for snuggles. Squirrel is a little more outgoing and a bit more of a lap pup than Birdie, but both often want to be with their foster mom on the couch. Birdie and Squirrel play well with medium and small dogs and will be happiest in a home with a playmate (they do not need to be adopted together, but do enjoy each other's company). We have not had them around cats or kids, but are sure they would enjoy having children to play and cuddle with. They love playing with toys, especially when their foster mom throws them! They like to play chase together outside and are fast, fast, fast! Squirrel digs small holes looking for mole crickets, while Birdie explores the yard. They are learning about potty pads and are figuring out how to use a doggie door. Their foster mom takes them out every couple of hours and they are doing well with potty training. They ride well in a car and still need to be leash trained. When their foster mom is out of the home and cannot supervise them, they stay in a tall puppy pen. Both puppies are jumpers and Squirrel can jump/climb out of a three foot pen. Whoever adopts them needs to keep an eye on the front door when going in and out, they have tried to dart out the front door of their foster home a few times to see what's on the other side! At night Birdie and Squirrel like to cuddle under the covers in the big bed with their foster mom and their foster siblings. They have been to a vet for a wellness check, have had two sets of puppy shots, have been fecal tested, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. Their spays are already scheduled at our vet and are covered by the rescue, as are the third set of puppy shots and their rabies. If you would like to meet one or both of these little angels and give them a home, please submit an application today! *We are located in Pensacola Florida.
