About Finn

Finn is a 2-year-old pure bred Boston Terrier that we adopted at 12 weeks, he was the runt of the litter and had some clear signs of insecurities ie. of not enough suckle time with mom and not feeling safe. Unfortunately, he exhibits fear aggressive behavior towards our other male Boston Terrier (Half Brother) in the house. Currently they live separate in our home, and we are looking for very specific needs to help him along as he will always have a tendency to growl and need his space, although he has NEVER bit any of my children or my spouse he is just scared with special needs in this regard. We use a muzzle if visiting a vet or if we are to board him albeit just until he's settled. Once he feels comfortable, he warms up quickly with a treat and a game of fetch! Treats and a game of fetch will win him over quite beautifully!!! He loves walks but can tend to think of all critters as prey our command 'leave it' and we work on this daily. He may do well with older children and will eventually warm to the whole family if given space. He is crate trained, house trained, micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations and has had a stim caller that has given us commands to follow such as, sit, stay, place and ('free' to release from place). Boundaries! Establish these fast as he adjusts, he will need patience and clear boundaries because he is dominant. We have found that he is definitely not the 'back of the pack' nor 'front of the pack' but unsure where he 'fits' in with the pack, and therefore is insecure with this unknown.
