About Archie

Tan & white, a bit on the smaller side, about 35 lbs. Playful, loves balls, plays well with our other dog (lab) but can take it a little too far. He sounds quite aggressive but our other dog can definitely hold her own with him. Previous owner has a small dog and a cat and he did well with them. Good around kids who can take a bit of direction (maybe not toddlers). Total snuggle bug and a generally sweet boy but can be possessive of food and toys. Sensitive to being locked in crate (will go in on his own but doesn't really like being locked in it) and to his people coming/going. Mostly trustworthy alone in house except on a couple of occasions when he has gotten anxious. Separation anxiety usually only lasts a few minutes and then he typically calms down. Knows 'shake' well, and sit, down, wait (for food) and crate pretty well in controlled conditions. Walks on a loose leash- mostly. We took him a few months ago from folks who were facing an imminent move and weren't allowed to bring him, but we ourselves are moving this summer and we have found our long work day absences are making him more anxious and destructive.
