About Jagger

Beautiful, smart, affectionate black and tan Australian Kelpie. Approximately 2yrs old (1.5-2yrs old),this good boy needs a family that has space, time and energy to train him and provide a good, loving home. Iam currently fostering this sweet boy. He is from an overcrowded shelter in Los Angeles. He is very affectionate, seems to be great with people and from what I can see other dogs (he was also kenneled with another dog while at shelter). I do not have experience with him and children but he does not seem to be at all aggressive - just very energetic and playful. He is extremely smart, catches on quickly, is very playful and high energy but in the short period I have fostered him he has made great progress in terms of training/basic commands. He quickly acclimates, he's eager to please, he quickly trusts & bonds with people. He also seems to be house broken, has not gone in the house. He's a pretty good walker already too. With training, love and the space to get a lot of exercise Jagger would make an amazing pet, a great guardian and a great addition to your home! He needs a lot of exercise/activity and some training, that's about it! This is not a dog for apartment living or being left alone with nothing to do for long periods, he needs a large outdoor space/backyard and interaction, something to do. This is a large dog, approx 55-60lbs. I do not know if Jagger is a purebred or is mixed with something else but he seems to have the looks and traits of an Australian Kelpie - good temperament, energy, intelligence, bonding with owner. He has a very thick coat. I think he is mostly shepherd, possibly mixed with other breed/breeds.
