About BO BO max

Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Name: Bo Bo Max Age: approx. 4 years Breed: Elkhound Mix, approx 35 pounds Sex: Male (reported neutered) Location: Asbury County, WV Bo Bo Max needs immediate help, owner moving at the end of April and is unable to take Bo Bo Max and has nowhere for him to go. Vet Info: Bo Bo Max has been reported to be neutered but does not have a microchip. He is up to date on vaccinations. He is blind. He has not seen an Ophthalmologist. Reason for blindness at this time is unknown but the owner was told that he was hit by a car as a puppy - owner is unsure if this is true. He was previously in a shelter but no records are available at this time. He was treated for Lymes Disease and is happy and healthy according to the owner. Bo Bo Max has not had a heartworm test in the last two years. Owner is unsure if it was done at the shelter. Dog Info: Bo Bo Max was abandoned by his previous owner. Current owner has had him for two years, and is now moving and will be unable to take him. Situation is critical as Bo Bo Max did not do well in the shelter. According to the current owner, 'I was told that, while at the shelter, he was so stressed out that he would not let anyone do anything with him at all. That he was growling and snapping when they touched him. They said they could not even examine him until they put him under for his neuter surgery etc. He had never shown aggression before that experience and has not shown any since. As I said, he is used to a calm, quiet environment and unfortunately the shelter is anything but that. ' Bo Bo Max is not housebroken or leash trained. He stays in an enclosed area outside with a heated bed in his dog house. He is not around other animals but has been around smaller dogs and cats before with no issues. He has not been around any large dogs in the two years the current owner has had him so it is unknown how he would do with them. Owner believes he would be okay with a slow proper introduction and is extremely playful. Bo Bo Max has been fine around people outside of the shelter. He has not been around any children - under 10 - while the current owner has had him. Owner adds, 'BoBo Max is a sweet, happy, playful, affectionate boy who just needs a safe, fenced in yard in a calm, quiet environment. I HAVE to find him a safe place to go before the end of this month.'
