About Margo

Margo is a beautiful girl. She rolled over and trusted to show her belly in three days. Her energy level is fairly chill, but does have the aussie cattle dog trait of jumping up at you if you don't set boundaries. She crates well and is house trained. She is a fairly good walking dog, but will jerk if rabbits or small game come close. She is becoming better as we continue training. She is an amazing smart little lady. Margo does have a tendency to resource guard and needs an experienced handler. Feeding in a crate is certainly one way to eliminate food resource guarding. Socialization and group classes are other ways of defusing guarding. Most cattle dogs are known for this trait.. Margo needs someone who is experienced with herders. She will need a fenced yard preferably, no small children or toddlers, and no small tiny teacup dogs. She will make a wonderful active companion, hiking, biking, running partner. Perhaps even a disc dog, or weekend agility with dog sports. Scent work is also a great sport for dogs to get into. She is currently fostered in the Naples area.
