About Darla

Darla is incoming from a family who feels she deserves better when they have no time for her. She turns four in October. Darla has grown up with a Chi and a GSP. The Older GSP does not like to share and is a bit cranky picking on Darla when she is just wanting attention. Darla has a pool and loves the water and sunshine. Looking for a water dog? Darla could be your match! She has also grown up with young children and does well with them but has no spatial awareness so might knock over a toddler. Older kids would be ideal with her. She is crate trained, house trained and loves to snuggle. Darla's drawback???? She is OCD on any ball or toy made of rubber. She loves to play fetch and any toy will keep her occupied as long as you're willing to throw it. She knows her commands and asks to go outside if she needs to go. She is typical needy Weim and wants to be by her person. She does love to chew so needs to have plenty of chew toys available. Her family says she loves her walks and does well on leash without pulling. Darla has been taken on several off leash walks and wanders out but checks back in every couple minutes. She would be a perfect hiking companion or a great dog beach runner. Road Dog? She LOVES car rides and does well in anything on four wheels! She meets other dogs and people with anticipation of more fun with her ball. Oh.....and did we mention she is NOT a barker? Not a sound has yet to come out of her. She is ready and waiting for an active loving family who can give her the attention she deserves. Fostered in the San Marcos Escondido area of San Diego. Come meet her!!
