About Cookie

Meet Cookie! This sweet girl needs to transfer from Maui Humane Society as their community continues to work to recover from the devastating Lahaina fire they experienced in August. Help for their shelter has slowed, and they are still in need of assistance with their homeless dogs. We need a foster or adopter for Cookie in Orange County so we can help her. She needs people who can give her the amazing life she deserves. She's been waiting for a home for almost a year and a half. Her bio is as follows: 'You know when you leave cookies out for Santa and the next day they're all gone? Well I'm the Cookie who'll be there 24/7, 365 days a year! I'm what you call a people-dog - I absolutely adore my humans (especially children!). I'm affectionate, I love to give kisses, snuggle and though I'm a little chunky I'll happily make myself at home in your lap. I lived with adults and kids; I'm housebroken, I know sit and paw and I enjoy going on walks. I get excited meeting new people, I'm well-behaved in public and in the car and one of my Beach Buddies said I'm the best dog EVER! Now...on to some important business...I love my humans so much that I prefer not to share you with any other pets. I'm not a diva by any means, I'll just do best without any fur siblings. So, you ready to treat yourself to a sweet, warm, delicious Cookie? MY FOSTER HOME SAYS THIS ABOUT ME: Cookie is happy-go-lucky and gets excited to meet people. She's a good girl who just wants to be a loyal friend. She likes going on walks, laying in the sun, riding in the car and rolling in the grass to scratch her back. The garden hose spooks her, she likes attention (and will bark if she wants you to talk to her), having her ears scratched and she knows basic commands. Cookie is a very sweet, mellow companion.'
