Our son adopted the dog when he moved out at 19. He did not realize the time and effort it takes to train & care for a dog. He recently joined the Marine Corps and realizes it will be a very long time before he can care for an animal. We have been taking care of Beau, but we do not have the time for the attention that he needs. Because of his anxiety, we have not let him play with other dogs or cats. He did play with some neighbor dogs about a year ago, and was not aggressive, just playful. We are not sure about cats. He has been fine around the few kids that he has been around. We sent him to training at Cedar Valley K9. He is a good dog, just socially anxious. He needs someone to take the time to show him love and he will love them back. He is housetrained, and knows many of the basic commands. He does bark at strangers, but has never bitten anyone. He is just over 3yrs old. He loves walks, playing tug a war and chewing on his toys
