https://rescuenetworkmn.org/adoptable-dogs/#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1665452393260/embed/animal/72952590 Bentley was previously surrendered to rescue after her owner died and a family member that knows her best wrote everything the know about her. We hope we can find a special home for Bentley and make her family that is watching over her, happy. 'Bentley was a rescue dog that was adopted by my sister in law Leta Kellen. Bentley was very thin with mattery eyes. Leta loved Bentley through her anxiety until Bentley was able to feel safe and relaxed in her home. Bentley also had a large dog 'sister' which recently died. Bentley doesn't tolerate summer heat well, loves water (lake, ocean, but unsure of pool for cooling). She also wears a warm sweater/jacket during the winter in and out of the house. She has gained weight since Leta was unable to walk her regularly but Bentley is still very strong, will take a flying leap off the bed and pull you by the leash as she takes you for a drag down the sidewalk. Bentley knows a few commands: sit, down, stay and I feel will respond to consistency and praise. She also knows her name so a name change may not be the best. She is used to a fenced in yard but would come back to Leta if she got loose. She is very social and has accepted and welcomed all the new people that have cared for her these days Leta was in the hospital. I am unsure how she would be in a household with small children but would do okay with school-aged kids and older. She also does well with the same size or larger dogs but sees small dogs, cats and other similar animals as prey and should not share a household with them. She prefers to sleep under blankets as close as she can to her person.'
