About Jake

Jake is here! 18 months old, and he's on the small side, about 35 lbs. He's not a fan of jumping in the car, so I lifted him, light! Jake was in the SEACCA Shelter in L.A. when we got him on his 11th half hour. Close! He is fantastic with other dogs. That was the first thing I noticed while he was in the shelter with his kennel mate. He was great with his fosters little mini Eskimo dog who wasn't crazy about Jake, but Jake just wagged his tail and took the growling in stride! Good sign! Jake was proven to be great in the very nice house he was fostered in temporarily. Totally knows about housebreaking! I haven't seen him lift his leg yet... he stands to pee. Jake met a 7 yr old child today on our pack hike, she was part of our pack, plus her mom, my friend, and my contractor who was here today. He's having all kinds of first today! He even went on a plane this morning to get here! He did great! Jake is a beautiful purebred Australian Cattle dog with a nice full tail. He is gorgeous, soft full coat. He's very tolerant of being in the yard tonight! They can't all be inside! So Jake is in a warm dog-loo with brand new, soft, rice straw. And I'm sure he is dreaming about the lovely day he had today, and not the shelter he was in for the last few weeks. Paws twitching!
