Since then, she delivered 11 healthy puppies who are thriving and will also be ready to adopt once they are weaned in a few weeks. This wonderful momma is described as a sweetheart, and is very calm, easy to walk on a leash, potty trained, and hardly barks or whines when left alone. Fluffy is estimated to be under two years young and weighs approximately 50 lbs. She has done well with dogs on walks and at the park, and has been good with all people she has met. Since giving birth, Fluffy has also been a wonderful mom to her puppies who all survived and have thrived. Unbelievably, Fluffy was originally found by good Samaritans abandoned on New Year's day, lying next to a male black lab who had been hit by a car and sadly deceased. Fluffy looks mostly chow, but the puppies are believed to be more mixed, maybe with lab and or other breeds and a DNA test will be done. A rescue group offered to assist the good samaritan with the placement of Fluffy and now her puppies. Fluffy has already been vetted, and will be spayed as a condition of the adoption, once she is no longer nursing. Currently, the entire family is being temporarily fostered in the Riverside area where qualified homes may meet them. Some transport may also be available to qualified homes in the Washington state area who can meet the rescue group there. If you can provide a loving, forever home for Fluffy, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the rescue group with their placement. An application, virtual home check, past pet history and vet reference will be requested and require rescue approval. Sorry, we do not do transport to private homes, adoptions must be in person.
