About Lila

URGENT!!! NEEDS RESCUED ASAP!!! [Case opened 3/17/24]. MIDDLETOWN, OHIO OR WILLIAMSBURG, OHIO (WHICHEVER IS CLOSEST TO POTENTIAL NEW OWNER). 7 y/o Female, (DOB: Feb. 24),Full Blood. Her name is 'Lila'. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Microchipped. Good with kids. Not good with dogs. Not good with cats. Recent aggression to small dogs (READ BELOW). House trained. Crate trained. Allergies (on Appaquil). High Energy. High Prey Drive. Currently on PURINA PRO PLAN food. Weighs 80ish lbs. Loves car rides. Favorite Playtime and Toy: Lila loves playing Fetch. She loves going on walks. She loves bones and chew toys. She loves to cuddle. She loves car rides. Lila also loves beautiful days outside and chilling in the Sun. Lila is a fantastic and loving girl. She loves attention and she loves rubs and scratches. She is a big baby. Lila has had Pro training and she listens very well. She is very intelligent. She has also had surgery to prevent bloat. Current Owner is heartbroken because she has to rehome Lila due to Lila recently becoming aggressive to small dogs. She recently attacked a neighborhood small breed dog and Current Owner can no longer keep Lila, due to having a small breed dog in the home. I have seen this several times where non-aggressive Shepherds have turned on and attacked a small breed dog. I believe 100% that this is due to their High Prey Drive kicking in overdrive. I do not believe that this is due to aggression. It is instinct. I have had several shepherd trainers AND vets agree with me on this.
