PLS CONTACT ROBIN FOR HELP OR WITH INTEREST. The Downey shelter just issued a 72 hour warning on 4/22 before Shoo Shoo may be euthanized. Please help us find a loving, forever home or foster and rescue ASAP for this young cutie the shelter has fondly named 'Shoo Shoo' after he was brought to the LA County shelter/Downey location. His owner gave him up due to have no time for a puppy and now he is going to be killed for space! Shoo Shoo is estimated to be only 8 months old, is listed as a german shepherd and chow mix, has no reported medical issues and weighs 57 lbs so far. He has nice behavior notes that state, easy to remove from kennel, and when in playard, 'Shoo Shoo A5615176 was at the front of the kennel when the runner approached him, his body was neutral, his eyes were alert, his mouth was closed, his ears were alert, and his tail was neutral with no wag. He was easy to remove and strongly pulled on leash. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was neutral, his eyes were alert, his tail was neutral with no wag and his mouth was closed. He was easy to collar and leash. He entered the yard and began exploring. He anxiously paced back and forth for some time. He over corrected one of the dogs for jumping on him. After a while he began hovering around the dogs and attempted to mount some of them. He had to be corrected various times by the handler and physically moved away from the dogs. Overall Shoo Shoo was tolerant of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time.. Shoo Shoo A5615176 was moved to the side yard to proceed with his handling assessment. He was distracted his environmental noises, he looked everywhere but the handler. The handler used the leash to move him closer to her. He allowed her to pet him but would whine when she grabbed his paws or his tail, he would flail on leash and attempt to get away. He allowed her to pet him everywhere but will require confidence building and continued socialization.' The shelter has recommended he go to a home with calm dogs and adults only, although this is not a requirement.
