About Ella

Ella & her sister Emma were starving & pregnant last summer when they were roaming the streets of Tecumseh, OK. They were terrified of people & they had obviously been abused & neglected. I started putting food & water out for them, so they came to my house everyday. A few months later, after Ella had her puppies & when they were old enough, she started bringing them to my house to eat, too. I spoke with the ACO & he informed me that the girls did have an owner, but he did not want them anymore. He had kept them in his shed & under his house & he was 'done' with them. The ACO said he was going to catch them all & kill them. I took Ella & her 7 puppies in that day. By the time Emma had her pups, a local rescue had transported Ella's pups to CO. Again I spoke to the ACO. He said he had already captured Emma's pups & killed them & the daddy dog, but he was still trying to catch Emma. I told him that I would take her, too & that evening I was able to lure her into my backyard. The sisters were thrilled to be reunited! With time, patience & love they have learned to trust humans & they are the happiest girls! They love people, other dogs, treats, toys, belly rubs, ATTENTION, ear scratches, & each other! They are learning to walk on leashes & they will sit for treats. They will also sneak in a kiss or two, when they can! They are very happy, sweet, gentle, loving girls & they deserve the BEST lives! It would be awesome if they could be adopted together, but it is not a deal breaker. The perfect home will include a fenced yard & a vet reference.
