About Poppy

Check out my stunning looks! My name is Poppy and I've so happy to have been rescued by Moonsong. I was picked up as stray and can be shy when you first meet me. Once I get comfortable with you, I'll cautiously approach you for pets, just be patient and I'll come to you. I am a gentle lady that loves to play with other dogs. Initially I'll act aloof when I meet new dogs and after a little hanging out together, I love to play! Toys are not my thing, between me and woo, I'm not sure what to do with them. Once I get over my shyness, I am treat motivated. I have been around children, but due to my shy nature older kids would be better for me. My foster home has 3 other dogs that I've been introduced to; I like all of them, but there's a little dog, I think she's a husky, that has been snarky with me a couple of times. She's learning that I am a lover and not a fighter, but I will hold my own if needed. When I was at the shelter, I met a small furry animal, I think it was called 'a cat'. I sniffed the furry thing but didn't show any interest. Know what that means? I'd likely be okay living with one of these furry creatures.
