About Mikki

Watch out world...Mikki here! I am an 11 month old Jack Russell Terrier mix boy and I weigh all of 28 lbs ( all muscle and fully grown). My story is a sad one but as they say, the sun always rises in the morning ...so here I am....with the girls at FCCR and finally---safe and fully mended. I was at a not-so-nice county 'shelter' back in Dec 2023 with severe pneumonia and a leg problem that required surgery- I was left to linger there and no one was paying attention to me as they had over 300 plus other dogs ( not to mention 100 plus cats). A good samaritan saw me curled up in a corner of an isolation room and her heart melted...thankfully she took me in and I am forever grateful as she saved my life. Now, after rounds of meds and FHO surgery on my leg, I am as good as new and ready for my forever home. The gals at FCCR have promised to find me MY perfect home so I am a happy boy!!! I love life, love to play outside, and love to be loved! Foster mom says I am a super laid back little guy and an ace snuggler ( specially under the covers). I also love other dogs and children- but please no cats or small critters like a bunny- after all I am a terrier so my prey instincts are pretty sharp. I am working on my doggie ABC's and I am a quick learner! I already walk great on a leash and am perfecting my 'sit and stay' commands.
