PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1-year-old male Terrier mix, about 22 pounds. Elmo is a happy, friendly guy who has never met a stranger. He is great with people and greets everyone with joy. He does great with dogs but would be equally happy as an only dog. He has never met a cat. He would love an active home that walks or hikes and has a fenced yard to explore. He can be a bit talkative at times, so apartment living might not work out great for him. If you want a dog who wants to go places and meet lots of people, he's your guy! To request an adoption application, email [email protected] Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
