Chico is a really loyal and loving, goofy, playful dog. He has helped me navigate through the darkest parts of my depression and provided so much purpose and laughter. It isn't his fault I can no longer give him the special attention he needs to be safe and secure to reframe from biting. Having to provide for my mom as she navigates her terminal cancer care and needing financial supplemental housing income from the roommate hasn't created the safety and consistency he needs to get to a better place. He needs a home that can provide the stability I tried so hard to establish for him. He deserves a chance to be a free happy dog on a farm somewhere. Maybe with a couple who doesn't introduce children and will commit to dog behavioral training. I fell short financially and needed to supplement my housing cost with roommates and that was when his behavioral issues escalated, and his training was derailed. Recognizing Chico's specialized needs and his potential for a fulfilling life in the right environment, I am committed to finding him a loving home where he can receive the care and attention he deserves. Chico would thrive in a setting away from frequent visitors, preferably on a farm with other dogs, where he can undergo professional behavioral training to address his anxiety and aggression.
