I rescued Max when he was a year old from a bad situation. He has always been very anxious and aggressive. But a very loyal and sweet to his owner. He is always by my side and we have traveled all over. I've never had a dog this smart and he is still wanting to learn more. He loves to work also. He will bring me stuff I drop all the time and wants to be helpful to his owner. (br) However, circumstances are changing, and I must find Max a new home soon. My girlfriend and I are merging households, and she has a young daughter. Unfortunately, Max isn't great with children or strangers, and his tendency to chase and nip can be concerning, especially given his strength. He's also prone to anxious biting, which necessitates a strong leader and experienced trainer. For his safety and the safety of others, I believe he would thrive best with someone skilled in handling difficult or traumatized dogs, such as an experienced trainer or animal behavior specialist. Max has been my closest companion for the past five years, and it pains me deeply that I can no longer provide him with a home. My hope is to find him a loving and secure environment where he can continue to grow, heal, and learn. Despite his challenges, he's made remarkable progress in our time together, and I'm confident he can continue to do so with the right person by his side.
