Dewey is an extremely sweet 6 lb, 10 year old, little Yorkshire Terrier who we found sitting in a high kill city shelter and they found him wandering in the streets. Dewey is considered Special Needs as he is blind, although he can see some vague shadows. However as we have found with most blind dogs, once they know the lay of the land they get around so well. Dewey is no exception. In fact, at times it can be hard to keep up with him, as in typical Yorkshire Terrier fashion he will go where he wants to go, will not wait and will go there NOW. Like many dogs, he loves having sunbaths and like most Yorkies he loves to just patrol his surroundings to make sure everything is as it should be. Dewey is not a fussy eater, not a barker and becoming house trained. In view of his blindness he needs to be in a house with no children under 12 years old. Dewey has been vet checked, complete with a dental, is up to date with vaccines, microchipped and neutered. LOCAL AREA ADOPTION ONLY
