We met Kobe after multiple instances of him roaming our street and one of those times my boyfriend and I were able to coax him with food. We fostered him while searching for his family. Long story short, we found his owner and got him home but he continued to get out. In conversations with the owner, it was made clear he was not a priority. This last time he got out, it was more than evident he needed to be removed from the home for his own safety (see picture). We have been fostering since, slowly putting weight back on him, and gained ownership to avoid legal issues. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I can't keep him as we already have 2 dogs, one of which doesn't do well with any other dogs (we've tried). His previous owner got him when he was a puppy from a shelter. He's now about 2 years old, 45 lbs, microchipped, and a mixed breed. While his previous owner said he was destructive, our experience with him has all pointed to a dog with puppy energy starved of love and attention. He knows 'sit' and 'down.' He's house trained. We've been crating him when we're not home because he does appear to have mild separation anxiety. His behavior and separation anxiety have already improved during the short time we've had him. He just wants to know you're there, and we can't blame him with what he's been through! He gets along well with other dogs (see video of him playing with my dog). However, I don't recommend a home with cats as I've seen him chase cats in the neighborhood. He would do well in a home with older children (8+). He loves blankets, cuddles, and naps on the couch with his humans. He's very food motivated, unsurprisingly, and loves chew toys. He'd make a great walking buddy! He's certainly better on leash than my puller. Please help us find this sweet boy a new home! We're located in east Lawrenceville, GA. I'm more than happy to talk in more detail. DM me if you are interested. Kobe needs his furever family! He more than deserves it. Serious inquiries only please. %9D%A4%8F
