AMELIA and HARPER are 5 year old Morkie (Maltese Yorkie) sisters who were surrendered by their owner. Amelia weighs 7.1 pounds and Harper 8.2. LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: They are very bonded and should be adopted together. They also need a home with a fenced yard. Fee is for both girls To meet AMELIA and HARPER and be considered for adoption you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION using this link- https://form.jotform.com/232395363383057 or by filling out an application on our website- aplaceofhoperescue.com Shy Amelia and her social sister Harper are pretty little girls! Harper is a very sweet girl that takes good care of her timid sister, who is very dependent on her. When we first got them we did not realize they were bonded and we tried to put them into separate foster homes. But when little Amelia can't find Harper she starts searching for her. She does not cry or get upset but you can tell she worries until she finds her. We came to the conclusion that the girls just need to go to a home together for them both to be happy! Amelia is the more timid of the two. She is hesitant to let her foster mom pick her up but is slowly getting more comfortable with it. Harper is very outgoing and cuddly and enjoys pets. She loves to be picked up and held and enjoys sitting on her persons lap. She happily, and occasionally noisily, meets her foster parents at the door when they return from running errands. Amelia will bark when someone comes home, but just because everyone else is doing it and she thinks she should join in. Amelia and Harper are good with all the other small dogs in the household. True to form, Amelia is shy with older kids that stop by to visit, while Harper enjoys meeting new people when they come to her foster home. Cats are an unknown for both dogs. We think older children would be fine for them. Amelia enjoys lying outside on a sunny day with her sister. Harper is a bit more energetic and loves to be out and about exploring the yard and following the other pups around. Amelia and Harper are not completely housebroken and they are not leash trained. A fenced yard is required for their safety and comfort. At night Harper sleeps in the big bed surrounded by her foster brothers and sisters. Amelia sleeps comfortably on the big bed in a fluffy round dog bed snuggled up with soft blankets. The girls have been to the vet for wellness checks, are up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, have had 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shots, and are microchipped with lifetime registrations. Both girls had dentals as well. Amelia and Harper would love a comfortable home to live out their years together! *We are located in Pensacola Florida.
