About SHEBA

Chow Chow / Spitz
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Courtesy Posting: CORONA, CA, So Cal 'SHEBA' - ID #A150603 - at CITY OF CORONA ANIMAL SERVICES. AT RISK TO BE EUTHANIZED SOON/ X URGENT - BEAUTIFUL, YOUNG AND SHY, BUT SWEET FEMALE CHOW/SPITZ MIX GIRL SOON TO BE EUTHANIZED FOR SPACE AND BEING SHY. CURRENTLY RESCUE ONLY DUE TO THIS. WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR A FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT AND RESCUE ASAP DUE TO HER URGENT STATUS - SHELTER IS FULL AND SHE MAY BE EUTHANIZED ANYTIME. Help! The shelter is asking for help for this shy young chow girl who came into the Corona shelter quite scared. She is slowly warming up to staff and can be seen in several videos slowly approaching and giving kisses to the hands, but backing up when staff tries to leash her. We have fondly named this beauty Sheba and she has a beautiful deep red coat. We feel she will greatly warm up outside of a kennel environment after seeing her sweet videos showing zero aggression and clearly wanting to trust people. However, the shelter says, 'Our shelter is full and thus our ability to work with dogs that have more needs/challenges have become very limited and as such, this is why we need a rescue to step up where we can't.' We are therefore desperately looking for a savvy or patient foster or home, and a rescue (rescue group need fosters) to save Sheba in time. The shelter estimates she is only two years old, and she appears medium size, slightly smaller the average chow. Her tongue looks mostly pink so we may also be another spitz mix breed in her. Sheba is technically not available to adopters and is Rescue Only (meaning only a rescue group can pull her unless otherwise approved by management). Interested parties to adopt would need to go through a rescue group. For rescues to help, we likely need to find a solid foster or home asap. Therefore, if you are interested in fostering, or an adoption, or just need more information or want to help, please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with her placement, and can try to pair you with a rescue to help or foster or adopt through. For rescue groups only, they should email Devin at: [email protected] and also call 951-739-4980 or the main line, (951) 736-2309, noting her ID on the subject line.
