About Bentley

Hello, this is Bentley. He is a 1 1/2 year old mostly boxer mix. His foster dad calls him the three legged wonder dog. He weighs about 42 pounds it is about 16 inches tall at his shoulder. He needs a forever home. The ideal home for him would be one where several people live that can give him lots of attention. He's very affectionate and house broken, and kennel crate trained. He's very smart but also determined to do what he wants to do. Bentley has issues with separation anxiety. He would do well in a family of several people. Bentley does not do behave well with other small animals, like cats, squirrels or small dogs. I have not seen him around small children. In summer of 2023 Bentley was taken from his yard for about a week. When he came home, he was in really bad shape and the local veterinarian said that he probably had been used as a bait dog for dog fighting. He had nerve damage on his front right leg and had to be amputated. But that hasn't slowed him down, he's still very quick and able to go on long walks or runs. Bentley has been neutered and is up to date on all his shots and is heart-worm negative. Vet records are available. In October 2023, Bentley's human father was murdered, and Bentley has been on his own since then. He has been fostered at my home since Thanksgiving and is now ready to go and live with his forever home. Bentley's human sister is at college as a freshman and cannot keep him, but she would like to be involved with him and visit from time to time if that's possible. I cannot keep him due to family issues and I have an inground pool. With his front leg missing, the vet is concerned he will fall in and not be able to get out. More pictures of Bentley on YouTube.
