About Etta

Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about within an hour of Wilmington, DE for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Etta! Etta is a 12-year-old, 8 lb. mystery breed of furry cuteness. She was found as a stray suffering from long-term neglect, and we lovingly welcomed her into our care. Etta was spayed, had 13 teeth removed, and was treated for a UTI. She has a bit of arthritis but doesn't require any medication. Etta is blind, but it has not slowed down her sense of adventure. She loves to explore outside and navigates rooms with ease. Etta will need protection around stairs and should not be left alone outside. She gets eye drops as needed. Etta is good with frequent potty breaks and also uses pee pads. She gets along well with other animals but would also thrive as an only dog. Etta will respectfully give a snap if another dog gets in her face, to ask for some space. She would do best in a home with older children or an adult-only home. Etta is described as a happy couch potato. She loves her food and cuddling with people but is also ok snuggling up in a dog bed.
