Aurora is a heeler/german shepherd mix that we rescued late last summer. We adopted her at 4 months old and she is now just over a year old. This weekend she bit my father, and we cannot have a dog with a bite history. We have an urgent situation because we have an 8 year old foster son and DCF is not allowing her to be around him without a muzzle or leash, which is not a sustainable way for Aurora to live. She is fully trained, she has taken through the advanced level at PetSmart, and she is an incredible dog. She would do best on a farm, at the very least a place with a large back yard where she could run, and she should not be in a house with children. She loves dogs, and loves people she knows, and is often shy and fearful around new people.
