About Ollie

Ollie is a senior dog in need of a good home. He first belonged to our niece and then to our son until he passed away in May of 2022. My husband and I have loved and cared for Ollie since then. I have had two strokes since early 2020. My husband and I are seniors and now my husband is busy helping me. Ollie's hip dysplasia keeps him from being active. He's not in pain and is a happy dog who loves people. He has a good appetite. He had to have 17 teeth pulled last November due to periodontal disease but he can now do fine eating his kibbles dry. (We were moistening them with water at first.) I had to have a ramp installed to get my wheelchair into the house. I no longer need it but Ollie uses it to scoot down to the grass to do his business. Ollie plays a little bit with a small tire on a rope. He knows the command 'stay' when I put out a treat or a plate to lick. He waits patiently until I say 'ok' and then goes for it. He has had some accidents but they aren't occurring every day. It's more 'pee' than 'poop'. I'm not sure what else to include. I'm not the best at computers and I was having trouble including a photo. (Ollie is darn cute!) Maybe I can include a photo later. I hope there is someone out there with a big heart who can give Ollie a good home and love him until he has to cross the rainbow bridge.
