My family adopted Abby in late November from animal care and control. She came to them as a a stray and we had no background history on her. She is a very loving, playful dog but we soon realized she is easily startled and reacts with lunging and nipping at our young children. She has had no issues with my husband and I. Her only flaw seems to be younger children. She will play with them, run around ourtside with them, and checks on them when they are sleeping but if she is laying down and/or sleeping and the kids come up to her she will react with growling and something lunging at them. I do not want her to end up back at the shelter and euthanized. She does not deserve that. She just needs a home with no children or older children.
