I adopted Tanya from a shelter that I worked at, she was scheduled to be euthanized due to health issues but I took her home instead. She does not have arthritis (they didn't have an option for what she has) but she does have a dislocated disc in her spine. Surgery can not fix it, and while she used to have very little use of her back legs, she now has full use of her back legs and is even able to climb, run, and jump. She does get a daily joint support supplement, and her weight does need to be managed as to not add unnecessary stress on her joints. I love this cat with everything in me but she can not be housed with other animals. I have a large dog and am involved with a lot of rescue and farm work and often have animals in and out of my house. She MUST be an only animal. She will attack and go after any other animals but she does very well with people. She is a very sweet and affectionate cat towards people, and is always wanting attention or to be in your lap. She can have an attitude at times and can be a bit sensitive about her back legs being touched. She would be a perfect cat for anyone with no other animals, and someone willing to give her the extra care and attention she needs. She is full of love and deserves someone who can give her the perfect home. I will be very picky about what home this cat goes too. This cat has lived a full life already and deserves a final and perfect home. You MUST be willing to do a prior home evaluation, provide your vet details, and tell me why you would be the perfect home for this cat. She is microchipped, fully vaccinated and I can provide you with all of her medical records as well as any supplies you may need. You can email me @ [email protected]
