About Aqua

Meet Aqua, a stunning dog with striking bright blue eyes that earned her name. Despite having slightly crossed eyes, she doesn't have any visual impairments. Aqua is nearly two years old, specifically around 1 year and 7 months, and is fully grown at 50 lbs. Her breed, while not confirmed by a DNA test, is thought to be a Husky/Pit Bull mix, sometimes referred to as a Pitsky. Aqua's history is a bit of a mystery, as she was found as a stray along with another dog named Misty, who resembles her, though their relationship is unclear. She has been in a shelter since January, and it's surprising that such a wonderful dog hasn't been adopted yet! Initially shy, Aqua quickly reveals her goofy and incredibly sweet nature once she becomes comfortable. She needs a patient and dedicated owner who can help her with basic obedience and socialization. Full of energy, Aqua loves long walks (she's great on a leash), playtime, and belly rubs. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a canine playmate. While she has had limited exposure to children and hasn't shown any issues, a home without small kids is recommended due to her high energy. Her compatibility with cats is unknown, but testing can be arranged if requested. Aqua's energy level is on the higher side, typical of young dogs, but we believe she would settle nicely into a stable home environment. An active lifestyle would suit her best, and she needs someone willing to invest the time and patience necessary for her to reach her full potential. She's intelligent, eager to please, and quick to learn. While ideally suited to a home with a yard, apartment living could be considered depending on the situation. Regrettably, Aqua is at risk of euthanasia due to severe overcrowding in the shelter, making the need to find her a forever home urgent and critical. Adoption Requirements for Aqua: - No small children. - A dog pal would be ideal but is not a requirement. - An active lifestyle. - Access to a yard or park.
