About Cider

Cider is a 7 year old Cockapoo. He currently weighs 37 pounds. Cider is a sweet boy who likes to be with his people. He came into rescue as an owner surrender, he nipped at his owner when his feet were being dried. We believe he was reacting to an owner with extreme uncontrolled anxiety. That was also the opinion of his vet who quickly contacted us and said Cider had never had a problem with them. We have kept Cider in his foster home for 3 months watching for any issues. Cider has been nothing but a good boy. He does well with the other dogs at his foster home but would also be ok being an only dog. When his foster parents are gone Cider is free to roam. Cider is used to a home with adults and has not had any exposure to children. He loves both of his foster parents but if his foster dad is home Cider chooses to be with him. Cider likes to play fetch and loves to go for walks. He is used to a physically fenced yard and would like one at his new home. Cider is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He recently had a dental cleaning and full blood work. Cider has hypothyroidism so his metabolism is slow. He takes �%BD of a .7mg thyroid replacement hormone twice a day. His medication costs about 13 cents per day. Cider has been allergy tested and eats a limited ingredient food with duck or salmon protein; he is allergic to beef, lamb, and liver.
