About Archie

Meet Archie! This sweet boy needs to transfer to us from Maui Humane Society as their community continues to work to recover from the devastating Lahaina fire they experienced in August. Help for their shelter has slowed, and they are still in need of assistance with their homeless dogs. We need a foster or adopter for Archie in Orange County so we can help him, and BOY is someone going to hit the jackpot with this guy! Just look at that smile! Archie is absolutely AMAZING! This fun-loving, energetic pup is great with other dogs and has a been a star participant in the humane society's beach buddies program. He's gotten rave reviews from all his adventure chaperones! He can be a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you. Once he warms up, he wants to be your best friend! He already knows how to sit and loves to play fetch. He can be a little timid in the car, but he works through it and will continue to get better with car rides as he gets more exposure to them. He is a hunting dog, so he does have a prey drive for birds and enjoys following new scents. He loves a good adventure! Archie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, has received flea/tick/HW preventative, and weighs 54lbs. He is estimated to be 2 years old. While he will need some continued training with housebreaking, basic obedience, and loose leash walking in his furever home, this goofball is going to be an absolute gem for whoever decides to adopt him.
