Hey there, everyone! I'm Waylon, a fun-loving, high-energy, playful 58-pound black Lab mix fella with a few white chest spots who was born about March 2022. I got my name Waylon because a Good Samaritan found me as a 'Ramblin' Man' - a wandering stray in canine language. Just call me easy-to-please because I get along with everybody -- humans of all ages including kids-- and other dogs. I'm a smart boy who's already learned to give a 'high-five.' Remember that the sweet-faced, lovable Labrador Retriever is America's most popular dog breed. We're friendly, outgoing, and high-spirited companions who have more than enough affection to go around for a family looking for a medium-to-large dog. We Labs have all the attributes that add up to the ideal family dog. Like most Lab mixes, expect me to be a very loving, companionable housemate who bonds with the whole family as well as who socializes well with neighbor dogs and humans alike. But don't mistake my easygoing personality for low energy: Labs are enthusiastic athletes who require regular exercise to keep us physically and mentally fit. I'd do best in a home with an active family who will take me out for long walks, jogging, or marathon games of fetch at the dog park. You'll get bonus points if you have a pool! Waylon is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
