About Bessie

My name is Bessie and I have had 5 to 6 years of living in Texas where I was not shown the best care. That doesn't mean I am not a nice dog or that I have issues or that I can't be a great pet to a family or person! Because... I can and I will be! It actually has meant that I am super appreciative of the comforts of a real dog life! Let's get the basics down first. I am about 5 to 6 years old. I am only 35 lbs! Yes, I am a smaller sized girl. I am a blue heeler - I look pretty darn close to being a full heeler but who knows 100%. I am good with other dogs and can live peacefully with them. I am scared* of cats... ha. I will not bother them. I am housebroken and trustworthy in the house. I am medium energy and a great age for my size and breed. I will need a little practice walking on leash but I don't mind it at all. I am also good in the car and a champ at the vet. I have been a mama probably a few times. The last litter I had, ASCZ saved from the elements. My four puppies are now in wonderful homes and now someone needs to step up for me. I am available to foster or adopt!
