About SASHA

There's no other way to say it - SASHA is a goofy little cat! One look at her, and you'll agree. She is a sweet TORTIE POINT HIMALAYAN who is between 2 and 4 years old, weighs about 5 lbs, has her claws, is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and FIV/FeLV negative. She has the world's most adorable face that just begs to be loved, but she does her best to evade human contact. She's come a long way- from shoving her head into the corner of her foster room ('If I can't see you, you can't see me!')- to being boldly out in the open around trusted humans. She stays close but jussssst out of reach. When her foster mom tries to pet her, she will sidestep a few inches away, arching her back happily, but won't let herself be caught. She'll come back within reach and then�'�|. dart away again. She seems to really enjoy this game! She will come running if she notes a Churo being opened but once that treat is gone, so is Sasha. She tries to wriggle away when brushed but is always sweet and gentle and never aggressive. If you can catch her, she'll purr mightily when petted. Sasha is a model patient at the vet and has never hissed or scratched. She shows very little reaction to other cats but doesn't like dogs. She seems to have curious kitten energy when it comes to exploring and sniffing toys or evading the humans that love her, but true to her breed, she isn't overly playful or wild. Sasha came into foster care from a house with many other cats and it's possible she wasn't given much space to explore or the opportunity to bond with humans. Sasha is extremely shy around new people and loud noises. She will need a quieter home that will dote on her patiently and accept whomever she turns out to be.
