Of course not! This is one year old Winter so named because of the white on her chest and paws. She was born to a known Male and Female Weimaraner with this unique coloring. This doesn't make her any less of a Weimaraner. Maybe she will never be eligible to show but this mighty little girl is amazing. The most important thing we've found is the ability for these dogs to get along with other dogs, kids, and maybe even cats. Winter is good with all! When we went to pick Winter up from the owner who could no longer care for her, she was surrounded by toddlers on bikes, trikes and multiple kids toys. She was tolerant and even loving towards all the kids. The property housed feral cats that sat and watched as Winter ignored them. She is more of a low key Weim who doesn't run toward or out an open gate seemingly knowing where she belongs. She jumped into the car as if she's done it all her life and rode like a little lady lying softly on her dog bed. The previous owner kept Winter mostly outside and let her sleep in an indoor screened porch at night. We are learning her habits but owner says she never did her business while inside on the porch..always waited to go outside. Winter DID, however, get up gently on her hind legs to give her transport volunteer a huge hug and a gentle kiss on the cheek. Her temperament is simply amazing. We don't know yet how she does when left alone since previous owner had multiple kids and adults home nearly 24/7 but we have been told she is not a barker. Winter is currently fostered with four other female Weimaraners and doing great with all. She loves to play and chase and does so with caution. Not a bulldozer. She is in the Perris/Corona area.
