About Niall

Niall! Niall, with the piercing blue eyes, is an incredibly handsome approx 3 yr old, 18lb mini poodle mix who recently found himself in our care when he was surrendered by a commercial breeding farm for unknown reasons. Niall is understandably confused and scared and has not yet learned all the wonderful things that can come from people and the fun our world hopes. We are hoping he finds some kind, loving, patient adopters willing to show him all of that and help him see the good. Niall, although terrified and undersocialized has never reacted in any negative or aggressive way towards anyone while in our care. He will freeze and whale eye, but tolerates anything we throw at him. Sadly he was very matted and gross when he came to us so he had to endure a bath and some grooming but he put on the bravest front he could and was cooperative the whole time. Niall will need an adopter who understands the grooming needs of a poodle/doodle type dog and will get him used to it. He will also need work with housebreaking and leash walking. He is a good boy who is now used to sleeping in his crate and is getting used to lots of different volunteers. He was even a champ for the vet! Niall is good with other dogs and likely would benefit from having a confident canine sibling, although we would consider him for placement as an only dog in the right home. Niall's adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations, neuterand microchipping. He has been 4dx tested (including heartwork) and is up to date on preventatives.
