Yogi, really needs your help. He needs a miracle, an angel, that unicorn family or person. Yogi and I had a horribly unfortunate incident at my house. I am going to cry as I tell you what happened Yogi was rescued from Palmdale weighing a mere 42 pounds. He was on the euth list and slowly starving to death. When I saw his picture I couldn't leave him there, with help he was rescued and brought to me. I fed him and loved him. got him healthy after 3 months his weight was up to 76 pounds. such a good dog. I miss him terribly. Yogi, and one of my foster kittens. were bonded. I have 100 pictures in my phone of Yogi and the kitten, cuddling, sleeping together, grooming each other, eating out of the same bowl . Yogi and I had just gotten back from a long hike. Yogi just wanted to go to bed and be left alone. His kitten went to cuddle up with Yogi, like he always did. Yogi tried to tell the kitten 'not now' The kitten didn't listen and went in for a cuddle q at the exact same moment yogi went to snap at him. The kitten got bit (he didn't make it) Of course I started screaming and I lunged towards Yogi. In his confusion and panic. scared Yogi redirected and bit me, requiring stitches. I am totally fine, no big deal 'tis but a flesh wound'Yogi absolutely did not mean to hurt me or the kitten. At the time we were his favorite beings on the planet it was an accident. I have 2 teenagers in the house one is a new addition. Yogi became a liability so I had to surrender him to the local shelter. Yogi is currently at Santa Barbara Animal Services. He desperately needs out of his kennel. he needs a forever home. Please go get this sweet dog. I can't imagine how scared, confused, cold,he must be Yogi has had a really rough start in life. Who knows what kind of trauma he had endured before he came into my care. He still has a long road of recovery to go. Yogi would prefer a peaceful home without lots of human traffic (he has become a bit snappy)A home without kids or cats. He would be happiest with lots of squeaky toys and peanut butter filled Kongs. He Needs someone that can be patient and meet him where he is at. he wants to be someone's one and only.. looking for a Velcro dog? He's your boy. 2 year old Shepard mix. He is Dog friendly sometimes but would rather just be left alone. He is house trained, knows basic commands. Microchipped, neutered, vaccinated. Yogi needs someone just as special as he is. Please someone go get him out of the Santa Barbara shelter. He doesn't deserve to be back in there. Yogi has been at the shelter for 2 months His quarantine is up and he is avail now. Walk in beauty
