About Koa

15lb toy Aussie Shepherd mix. I'm moving and will be traveling a lot for work. It's unexpected and Koa needs consistency, a forever home, 'his person', a yard, no kids or older kids, and no cats. Another dog would be great but it will take time. I think company is ideal for Koa and will help him blossom even more. We've 'healed' to a routine, toys, he loves the car, and going on adventures. He's great out and about but not into socializing with people or other dogs. It's time for Koa to start bonding with others. Vet confirmed 6+yrs old. Everything current. He will be sad but he's worth it for the right person. He's low end special needs. He came from a very abusive situation and was lucky to be alive. Mites, terrified, and still reacts. Considering, he's doing great. He's sweet to 'his people'. Not a velcro dog. My husband and older kids can give him treats but can only walk him if I leash him first. Doesn't bark, destroy, or mess in the house. Walks 10,000 steps with me every day. Deserves a GREAT HOME. I rescued him 15 mos ago and we've worked really hard. It's all starting to pay off. Rehoming him will be hard and is a total surprise. Prefer someone with rescue/abuse experience.
