About Mercury

Say hello to the wonderful Mercury! Mercury is a mixed breed and about 3.5 years old. Mercury was first came to us in the Summer of 2022. Unfortunately her adopter is not able to provide to Mercury what she requires so she is now looking for a family. Mercury is alert to her surroundings, and may be weary of new people, however she has proven to warm up quickly and once she does she is a total love bug. Mercury lived as an only dog in her previous home, but demonstrated that she did well with other dogs as she participated in play groups and was kenneled with other dogs in Texas. However, since being adopted a year ago, she seems to have developed some dog reactivity. She did partake in doggy daycare at a big-name pet store, and this may have caused some negative experiences and associations as it did not set her up to be successful when meeting and interacting with new and strange dogs. Due to this, it will be important that Mercury is introduced to other dogs properly to ensure that she continues to have positive experience with other dogs. Mercury previously lived in a home with young children, and would do just fine in a home with respectful kids. She can be mouthy when playing, so keep this in mind. With ongoing training, structure and confidence building, we know that Mercury will continue to build on the awesome dog that she already is! If you are a confident leader with experience, enjoy spending time outdoors, and want to grow a strong bond with your dog, Merc may just be the gal for you. She is an active dog, full of life and love and will make the BEST addition to an active home.
