About Phoebe

Phoebe is a lovely and affectionate pitbull mix. She was previously owned by an elderly man and her brother, who was a great dane. Unfortunately, her previous owner passed away, and Phoebe was taken to the humane society. We have had her for three months, and while she is an amazing and loving dog, we are not the best match for her. She can get slightly overstimulated but has been doing better with training. She is house-trained and knows to sit, stay, and place. We have not had any issues with her chewing or destroying any furniture or objects other than her toys. She is medium energy and a great running partner. We have been actively working on leash training and recall and have seen progress. She gets along well with most dogs and has not met a person she does not like. She does not seem to get along well with small children and we have observed her growl at kids from afar. Overall, Phoebe is a great dog but requires more attention than we can provide. This is not the dog's fault, and we want to do everything possible to find an excellent home for her.
