URGENT - CHOW SAVVY HOME OR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED FOR 2 YR CHOW/ GOLDEN RETRIEVER MIX 'LINDSAY' FOUND DUMPED ON THE STREET, NO ONE COME FOR HER. We are in urgent need of finding a patient and loving home, or a foster (foster-to-adopt) and rescue for this adorable young chow mix who the shelter has fondly named 'LINDSAY'. She came in as a stray on 3/16/24 and weighs 41 lb and is estimated to be 2 yrs old with a gorgeous black coat. She is just the perfect size and has no medical issues reported. There were 2 other dogs running with her who are also now in this shelter: Miko #A4952643, 2 yr old and is neutered & Whimsey (female) #A4952639. Some of her shelter notes state: 'Dog was outside with kennel mate on approach, timid, easily startled, ignored treats. Handler entered and crouched down, dog came forward and allowed petting. Ducked the leash, handler was able to lasso. Exited kennel with kennel mate and walked straight into a transport cart. Tried to jump out while traveling to the yard. In small yard handler dropped the leash, dog exited the cart, paced the yard anxiously. Came to handler when called, allowed petting, laid at handler's feet. Allowed petting from second handler. Handler was able to walk dog back to the kennel, dog stopped and started a lot, pancaked several times. Handler was able to coax dog along with hand signals. Entered kennel easily.' We are looking for both a home as well as a foster in case she does need rescue, or someone may foster to adopt her.
