About Spunky

On 22 September 2023, I found & rescued this precious pup from the Family Dollar nearby where I'm currently residing in Splendora, Texas (just north of Houston). He & another dog had been dumped there ten (10) days prior, and the staff at the Family Dollar were gracious enough to feed them until I came across them both & without hesitation took them into my safe care. As much as I desire & wish to keep him, it's just not feasible as I'm relocating to South Africa by end of May 2024. Until then, I will continue to foster & look after him accordingly. Without further ado, let me dive into all things related to 'Spunky' boy :-)! As you can see, he appears to be some form of Staffordshire Bull Terrier & American Pit Bull Terrier AKA pit bull mix. I'm unsure of his age, but he is still young & bursting with energy. He has done fantastic with our fellow neighbor dogs located around us as these dogs spend time with him on a daily basis. He is well adjusted to the country & nature as I'm staying on thirty (30) acres at the moment. In terms of commands, he knows sit very well, and he comes to me when I whistle. He is leash trained but is also trained to go off leash yet remain within a radius of me when on walks. He needs LOTS, LOTS & LOTS of love & attention. Overall, his preference is to generally be where the humans are. He is currently listed with The Relinquished Souls Animal Rescue Society Reg Non-Profit # 3318351, Tag #2335. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we will work with the transporters related to The Relinquished Souls non-profit to get him out of state, up north & even into Canada. His adoption fee is $375 and transport is $250. These fees will go directly to The Relinquished Souls non-profit. He is fully vetted, healthy and ready for his forever home.
