About Zader

Zader has been in foster care for over a year. He is a VERY smart & sweet dog so we arent sure why he hasn'tbeen adopted. Zader is 4-5 years old, neutered, heart worm negative, micro chipped & fully vetted. Zader is a people person, so he needs time with his people to be happy. But does not need a lot of physical activity,just your time. He is affectionate (cuddly), playful, smart (will sit, lay, retrieve toy, and even wait to eat his bowl on the 'go!' command). Zader came into the shelter with a leg injury, likely from jumping out of a car or truck. Missing one leg has not slowed him down a bit! He loves playing outside but is also content to chill in the house. Zadee is super easy to bath and clip nails. No issues with touching any part of his body; between his toes, in his ears, his belly. There is no danger-zone. He loves to go for a ride in the car or truck. Zadee does very well on a leash. Hasn't jumped any fences. He isnt even a picky eater. Zadee gets along well with other dogs and cats. Gives sweet kisses without slobber :-) Hasn't chewed furniture, shoes, etc but WILL destroy a stuffed animal toy in minutes:-) He is quite content with a good bone or rope toy. Doesn't jump doorway, gates, or even try. ���� Doesn't like thunder but could care less about loud tools/equipment. We vacuum around him with a wet/dry vac and he doesn't care. For thunder storms, he crates in a very sturdy crate and does very well. Zader is quite good with kids, but he does need verbal notice if coming up behind him, so older kids may be better. He is super quiet in his kennel all night. Can handle 10-12 hours without a potty break, which I try not to impose on him but I've had some health emergencies with my husband that have delayed my taking him outside. Can you ask for a more deserving pup? He is amazing and deserves a home that can give him years of love �%9D%A4��%8F. The only thing we found that Zader doesn't like is Orbit, the mascot for the Houston Astros. That human sized green plushy looked a little too much like a squeaky toy and Zader let out some bow-wows! ���� Can't really blame him. Green fuzzy aliens are usually a stranger danger.
