About Hades

Hades is just over 3 years old and is a really good boy with some rough edges. The sole reason we've turned to rehoming is due to his aggressive tendencies towards my 7 month old daughter. However, he does get along amazingly with our 8 year old. Hades gets nervous when first meeting someone and will display this by barking. But I know he can be extremely friendly because he loves going to the Groomers. That being said, he reactivness comes out on walks where typically he won't bark at people unless they're near him, but other dogs he typically loves to bark at. Medical wise Hades is on (2) 16mg Apoquel tablets a day to combat his allergies to chicken and grass. That's what we narrowed it down to, though no formal testing has been done on him. I clean his ears every other day, and he's on Simpatica Trio and Cosequin. Other than that I use dried beef liver and regular cheese sticks to get cooperation. Also, he would definitely benefit from some refresher training, adding some skills, and just someone that can physically get out there and work with him. Hades truly is a good boy, and it's extremely hard to go through this process, and ultimately I want Hades to be happy, so if for whatever reason it ever didn't work out I would just want him to come back to me instead of a cycle of rehoming.
